Technical Specification
Construction
All enclosure bodies and lids are manufactured from die cast aluminium alloy type gdalsi12(fe) – (100% recyclable aluminium) which is highly corrosion resistant combined with high strength and light weight. Lids are secured with stainless steel fasteners which locate outside the sealed area.
They are the ideal choice for housing electrical and electronic equipment of high value. Their 'shoe box' design makes them aesthetically suitable for a wide range of applications including mounting keypads and electronic displays. A full machining and customising service is available to provide you with a finished product avoiding the problems of employing several sub-contractors
The environment the enclosures are used in ranges from flood water to deep sea and with a slight change of emphasis to internal pressure, they can also be used at high altitude.
Applications include enclosures mounted in sewer systems, in harbours, in pits and around water treatment plants, on pumping systems, on reservoirs, on rivers and on flood plain areas where electrical equipment and often apparatus needs to be protected from the possibility of being underwater.
IP Rating
Because of their design using a raised rib on the box body and a recessed channel in the lid housing a continuous neoprene seal the standard of ip 68 is achieved
Temperature Range
Using the standard neoprene gasket -40ºC TO +80ºC or using the optional silicon gasket -50ºC TO + 120ºC.
Accessories
Mounting plates, terminal mounting channels, external hinges, external mounting. Feet are all available at extra cost.
